Very high wind speeds provided some challenges to the large cantilever roof portions, as did maintaining serviceability performance within deflection criteria recommended in NZS1170.

The build itself uses a complex lateral bracing system with a combination of portal frames, diagonal bracing steel frames, concrete precast and insitu chimney walls.
